Today at the Unofficial Disney World we say make the most efficient use of your time while at Disney World. The best way is to be there at rope drop. What is rope drop? Thats what Disney calls the opening of the park. So if the park opens at 9am be there about 15 minutes early.

Here at the Unofficial Disney World we say the early bird gets the worm. In other words the parks are almost empty the first few hours of the day. Plan before you arrive which attractions you wish to ride and go to them first thing. You might have a 5-10 minute wait, but a couple hours later you will have a 45-75 minute wait at the same rides if they are some of the most popular.

If you are staying at one of the Walt Disney World ( WDW ) Resort hotels look into Extra Magic Hours (EMH). Each day 1 of the parks will open an hour early or stay open a few hours later. This is a great benefit for hotel guests for more time in the parks and shorter lines.

Unofficial Disney World Tips

Hope you are liking my Unofficial Disney World tips. Today I would like to let you know what I feel are the best times to go to Disney World. The number 1 reason I choose these times is because of lower crowds. To me having some space to breath in the park is very important.

Now I know many people can only go to Disney World when the kids are on vacation, but if you are able to choose I find these the best. My Unofficial Disney World times are late August through September, late November(after Thanksgiving) through first 2 weeks of December, mid January through early February and March. For November-December you get a bonus of special Holiday decorations.

Unofficial Disney World Theme Parks

Lets continue with some more basics for the Unofficial Disney World Theme Parks. If you have small children you should bring along a umbrella stroller. These strollers fold up nicely and can be taken on the busses. Even if your kids have outgrown their strollers, with the amount of walking you will be doing your kids will love you for having the stroller. I have even seen 10 year old being pushed around.

Bring along comfortable shoes. With all the walking a blister could ruin the day. If you have space bring along a second pair incase your first pair gets soaked in the rain.

For my Unofficial Disney World I now recommend you bring along antiseptic wipes. With the flu running out of control and germs everywhere at the park you can never be too careful.

Items to Bring on Unofficial Disney World

For the Unofficial Disney's World I will start with the basics and then teach you all the tips and tricks I have learned over the dozen or so years I have been going to Orlando.

Even before you leave you need to know what to pack. Before Disney Theme Parks, Orlando was a hot swampy area. You know what...it still is. Unlike Disneyland, here are some must bring along items for Disney World. Although you can pick these items up while you are already down here, you will pay a price.

Insect repellent for mosquito's and no-see-um's. They are most active during dawn and dusk. Sunscreen - the sun is hot..hot..hot and there is nothing worse then the pain of sunburn on your vacation. A hat to protect your head from the sun and sunglasses so you aren't squinting all day. You may want moisturising lotion if you plan on spending anytime in the pool.

On the other spectrum bring some dollar rain ponchos with you. It rains nearly every day in Florida, usually not that long, but when it does rain it pours.
